As part of the bookselling community since 1996, AbeBooks is proud to support and promote book fairs and rare book events around the world. This calendar offers dates and details for important antiquarian and rare book fairs, and also events dedicated to paper collectibles and ephemera. Upcoming events

Germany’s leading annual rare book fair brings local and international booksellers together each year. Established in 1962, the fair is one of the oldest of its kind in Europe and reflects Germany’s long history and tradition in printing, publishing and bookselling.

After moving the date and location in 2023, the fair will return to its original location and date in 2024, the Stuttgart Kunstverein at the end of January.

First editions and bibliophile editions, fine press, manuscripts, graphic art, photographs, maps, manuscripts and autographs - the fair offers the entire spectrum of the rare book and graphic art trade. Every January, collectors, libraries and art enthusiasts from all over Germany and Europe travel to the fair, which has been the annual kick-off in the international rare book calender for decades.

For the love of books! Rare Books LA – Pasadena welcomes booksellers and bibliophiles from around the world to share their love of books, fine prints, maps, ephemera, and more on February 3-4, 2024 at the Pasadena Convention Center..

The California International Antiquarian Book Fair returns to San Francisco in 2024! This three-day event features fine and rare materials from around the globe, including manuscripts, first editions, illustrated books, ephemera, maps and autographs, as well as antiquarian books on a vast array of topics.

The Palazzo Pisani Revedin Cultural Centre, founded in 2020 on the initiative of the Armenian cultural manager Samuel Baghdassarian, with its fascinating and spacious multifunctional exhibition halls, promotes artistic and cultural initiatives of various kinds, to promote culture in its many forms, starting with the ancient traditions and those of painting, literature and music.

Our knowledge and tradition in printing is centuries old and is part of the whole Armenian world that gave great impetus to Venetian printing. Antiquarian Armenian prints of Venice have a long history. In the past, the tradition of printing in Venice could be seen at the Printer's Museum on the beautiful island of San Lazzaro, right in Venice, the city that was the capital of printing in the 16th century.

The Tallahassee Bicentennial Antiquarian Book Fair
Sponsored by the Tallahassee Historical Society. Theme is “Immerse Yourself in Tallahassee & Florida History”. 25+ antiquarian book dealers, bringing history, first editions, and more; plus, maps, documents, art, prints, postcards, and any other Florida historic memorabilia. The Stockholm Antiquarian Book Fair is a highlight for the Scandinavian rare book trade and market and also welcomes many international guests.

The Antiquarian Booksellers Association of Japan (ABAJ) is pleased to announce the Tokyo International Antiquarian Book Fair 2024, which will take place from March 15 till 17th in the Tokyo Traffic Hall.The Tokyo Antiquarian Book Fair has been running for over 40 years.

All exhibiting booksellers at the Tokyo International Antiquarian Book Fair are a member of ABAJ and / or ILAB-affiliated businesses.

The 63rd New York International Antiquarian Book Fair is now scheduled to take place from 4 - 7th April 2024.

Both American and international exhibitors will offer a rich selection of manuscripts, unique ephemera, artist books, zines, as well as early American and European literature, modern first editions, children’s books, maps, autographs, photographs, and more.

The Capital Art Fair will be held April 5th to April 7th at the University Club of Washington DC at 1135 16th St NW. The fair will feature 15 exhibitors from across the United States. The fair is devoted to the exhibit and sale of fine works on paper including etchings, woodcuts, lithographs, drawings, watercolors, and more. Its exhibitors come from around the US, and the work they show represents 500 years of Art History.

Admission is free on Saturday and Sunday.

The Capital Rare Book Fair will bring 38 antiquarian booksellers from across the country to Washington DC between May 3rd and 5th, 2024. The French antiquarian booksellers association, Syndicat national de la Librairie Ancienne et Moderne (SLAM), is pleased to announce that the Paris Rare Book and Graphic Arts Fair will be held from 14th to 16th June 2024.

A new venue will host the Fair in 2024, Le Carreau du Temple, a building steeped in Paris history.

From a Templar’s 12th-century enclosure to today's market hall, several centuries of history have shaped this site. Since 2014, the fully renovated Carreau du Temple has been hosting various cultural events every year, right in the heart of the popular historic Marais district.

A flagship event for books and works on paper, bringing together booksellers, autograph dealers, print and drawing galleries, specialist publishers and book artisans. From the oldest works to the most surprising contemporary avant-gardes, thousands of documents reveal the magic of our written and graphic heritage.

The Melbourne Rare Book Fair returns to Wilson Hall at the University of Melbourne on 25th - 27th July 2024. The Melbourne Rare Book Fair is the major annual book fair of ANZAAB, the Australian and New Zealand Association of Antiquarian Booksellers, and one of only a few rare book fairs in the Southern hemisphere.

Now in its 52nd edition, the Melbourne Rare Book Fair will again feature rare and wonderful books, manuscripts, ephemera, prints (and much more) from the best rare book and antiquarian dealers across Australia and New Zealand and from overseas. The Melbourne Rare Book Fair is the triumphant finale to the Melbourne Rare Book Week, a week of free lectures, exhibitions, book launches and events which celebrates the world of rare books in the UNESCO City of Literature, Melbourne.

The Boston International Antiquarian Book Fair is one of the oldest and most respected antiquarian book shows in the USA. Rare book dealers from the United States, but also Europe, Australia and Asia offer rare, collectible and antiquarian books, modern first editions, manuscripts, autographs, maps, atlases, and a plethora of other literary ephemera.
