Harmonizing the visual elements to express the heart’s desires is what my artistic quest is about. In the process forms acquire colors and colors get shaped. Ultimately the goal is to give the inert tube pigments an abstract visual life of their own.
And the "chi", the abstract life, always remains a challenge and is the final destination. That is the visual path that I travel which requires the use of the abstract concepts of (point, line, plane,etc.) which necessarily entail a spiritual dimension. Hence, the purpose of the visual language I employ is to make paintings about paintings foremost and objects secondarily.
