Plein Air PaintOuts for 2010
Valle del Sur Paints the Llagas Creek Watershed in 2010:
Once again we will paint in the late afternoon to take advantage of the soft Evening Light we so enjoyed during last year's PaintOuts.

For the next three years we will explore the watersheds of the three main creeks of our south valley: Llagas Creek in 2010, Coyote Creek in 2011 and Uvas Creek in 2012. We will visit a variety of sites along the watershed and elsewhere.
Llagas and Uvas flow southerly into the Pajaro River and to Monterey Bay, while Coyote Creek flows north to the Guadalupe River and San Francisco Bay.

We will usually start around 3pm, but the specific time will change to reflect the changing times of twilight. PaintOuts days will alternate, with most falling on the 2nd Saturday (in spring and fall) or the 4th Thursday of the month. Usually the light gets too dim to paint well about 1/2 hour before sunset, but then pick up the camera to capture the swift changes.

Special PaintOuts will be announced from time to time.

* This year more directions will be provided on the web, and you may see fewer PaintOut notices than in previous years. Anyone interested in getting an email PaintOut reminder notice for these events should send email to VDS PaintOut Chair
